PLAY READING OF "RUSH"

I'm winding up my first year in the new Playwriting MFA program at Hunter College and if you're in NYC on this coming Monday, please consider coming to a free public reading of my new play, "Rush." It's set in the Yukon in 1899 during the Gold Rush, and I'm describing it as "Deadwood" meets "Memento." With women.

It's about 75 minutes long, and after an intermission, another MFA student, Johnna Adams, will have her play, "Gidion's Knot," read. Both play readings will be directed by Michole Biancosino.

The Loewe Theatre at Hunter College is located on the NW corner of 68th Street and Lexington Avenue, right off the 6 train. Drop me a line if you think you might come and need any info about how to get there. Here's a Facebook Event with the info.

ONE-MINUTE PLAY FESTIVAL IN ASTORIA

For the third year in a row, I'm participating in the One-Minute Play Festival. About 80 one-page plays will be presented this weekend, and I've written a trilogy of plays that will be sprinkled through the first part of the evening. It's kind of insane and awesome and always a good time. The event got written up on Broadway World.

It's Saturday and Sunday night at 8pm at the Astoria Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $18 and can be purchased here.
